Chitta AI (“the App”) provides AI-powered document processing, including scanning and extracting data from receipts, bank statements, and credit card statements. Account and Device Information (if provided/available): device model, OS version, app version, and unique identifiers used for diagnostics and fraud prevention.
Documents and Files You Upload: PDFs and images (JPG/PNG/JPEG) that you choose to process. These may contain personal or financial information.
Derived Data and Metadata: extracted text/fields, classification labels, file names, file size, page counts, timestamps, and cached processing artifacts.
Usage Data: in-app actions (e.g., uploads, processing status), crash logs, and performance metrics.

2. How We Use Data

Provide the Service: process your uploaded documents to extract and structure information you request.
Improve Accuracy and Reliability: enhance algorithms, optimize performance, and troubleshoot issues.
Security and Abuse Prevention: detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our terms.

3. On-Device vs Cloud Processing

Some features cache files and results on your device for quicker access. Depending on your configuration and selected services, documents may be transmitted securely to our servers or trusted providers to perform OCR, classification, or storage. Transmission uses industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with: – Service Providers: cloud hosting, analytics, logging, and crash reporting providers who process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards. – Legal and Safety: if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the service and users.

5. Data Retention

Documents and Extracted Data: retained only as long as needed to provide the service you requested or as required by law. You may delete documents and associated results in-app where supported, or request deletion via the contact below.
Logs and Diagnostics: retained for a limited period for security and reliability, then deleted or anonymized.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Access, Correction, Deletion: you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
Permissions: you can revoke camera and file/storage permissions in your device settings. Note that the App may not function without required permissions.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, role-based access, and least-privilege controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we continuously improve our safeguards.
