Why we built Caelum
Accountants and finance teams still spend hours retyping bank statements, card statements and receipts into spreadsheets and accounting software. Traditional OCR tools help a little, then fail on the next bank’s layout or a slightly crooked scan.
Caelum reads documents the way a person does, then checks its own work: every statement is reconciled against its balances, so you know when something is wrong before it reaches your books. It is designed for the people who have to sign off the numbers.
